TOP 10 REASONS WHY MAYORAL CANDIDATE KELLY IS A LEIGHTON "PLANT"

Don't you just love it!

There is a person named Mark Robbins or so he says, who has quite an imagination. He conjured up a plot for a story and created all the facts to please himself. I won't grace his commentary by responding on his site, but I copied his piece right here and I responded right here on this site so you can see that the kind of people that my friends warned me about actually do exist. I don't really think this is from Mark Robbins at all. I think it is from the Unknown Comic! Too bad he has not remained unknown.

Provided by www.briankellyformayor.com. Filed under comedy in need of repair on the Kelly site. Enjoy! Comedy at its best!

Post is attributed to Mark Robbins, whoever he is!

Kelly Summarizes Positions and Comments on Negative Posts.

Brian Kelly, who announced for Mayor Friday November 14, 2014, sent us the following press release: It gives some reasons why WB citizens might consider Kelly as a viable candidate for Mayor.

Kelly summarizes positions and comments on negative posts.

“Let me begin this by talking about what happened on Friday when I announced a run for Mayor of Wilkes-Barre. Some of this will be in third person, in the voice of my son, the writer of my press releases, and some will be in first person. I will begin my words in paragraphs with quotes."

Brian Kelly, the number one published conservative book author in America, has made up his mind and he will be putting down his pen in favor of a new career in public service. You may know that Kelly’s most recent book, Geoffrey Parsons Epoch…  The Land of Fair Play, his 59th, was released just last month and is available online at www.bookhawkers.com. Feel free to view his other books on the BookHawker site, and remember, each time you buy a book or a t-shirt from BookHawkers, or you make a donation to the campaign at the site, you are helping bring in a better government for Wilkes-Barre, PA.

The Grey Haired Brigade Is On Duty to Help!

In the recent election, the grey haired brigade stood fast and voted to help put America back on the path of our founding. This email came by my desk and it helps in giving us the right perspective of the world in which we live and it offers a lesson to millennials to not write off the members of this brigade. It also suggests the grey brigade, more than anyone in government, has the backs of the young. You are our sons and daughters and our nephews and nieces, our students and friends. We simply love you and we are old enough to help protect you even though you think you need none.

Here is the email:

Lace Curtain Irish or Shanty Irish???

Lace Or Shanty-- Hoi Polloi or Hoity Toity

All immigrants have had major issues coming to America. There was no road paved in gold, which they could follow.  There was no road in fact, leading to a sure supply of food for their families.  They had heard and believed their lot would be better in the New World, America. So they came despite no roads paved in gold or caviar. Yet, in the end, all immigrants from years back at least, embraced America and loved to become Americans and they found their place. It is this stock which bred the country we know simply as America. The stock for the melting pot consisted of many types of immigrants. The Irish were just one variety that melted in.

As the Irish were immigrating to America, like most newcomers in this new strange land, most were poorer than dirt. As ship after ship came to America from overseas, the Irish got numerous enough to form various sections, which today might be called ghettos and they lived in small homes that were not more than shanties. Some chicken coops might have been larger than the first homes of these immigrants.

The following is very interesting and can be summed up in one short sentence.

There are two classes of people in this country; Those who work for a living, and those who vote for a living!!!

This is a great derivative of the old saying: “There ain’t no free lunch.”

Bloggers are a great source of truth on the Internet

Bloggers do not write what they are told!

Anybody can be a blogger—even you and I. Bloggers often write about their own experiences, and since anybody can blog, not all are as adept at writing as English majors but that does not seem to matter. Occasionally some pedantic correctness asserts itself and somebody corrects some grammar or phraseology in a blog, but most of the time, blogs represent raw thoughts, some more tuned than others.

For the most part, the personalities of the writers come through in their blogs. Some see that as the most essential element of weblog writing. Some blogging analysts say that all the other elements of good writing can be missing, and all the rules can be violated as long as the voice of the person comes through in their blog. It may not be amore, but “that’s a weblog.”

There are lots and lots of blogs, and there are lots and lots of bloggers. In 2011, when I first wrote this article, there were 112 million blogs and the rate of growth at the time was about 120,000 more every day. They seemingly pop up out of nowhere but the writers of the blogs would say they are thoughtful expressions of opinions. Experts admit that most blogs-- over 80%-- are out of date. “Out of date” means that there has been no activity within the last two weeks.

Whatever happened to the Democratic Partyi

Wouldn’t  the hard working parents of the baby boomers be surprised?

Something happened to the Democratic Party since I first joined. I was just twenty-three years old. I spent my first two years as a voter registered as an Independent and then my father helped me understand that in Pennsylvania, being Independent meant that I could not vote in the primaries.
So, I changed from to Democrat, like my dad.

We were very close and talked a lot about how things were in America and in the neighborhoods for years and years. Before my dad passed away, we spent lots of time talking about the way things had changed in the Democratic Party.

Bush Did It!

Here we are. It's almost December 2014 and Obama still takes no responsibilit for any of his mistake. It is as if George Bush is still in control and never left. The President is blameless on everything. White House adviser Dan Pfeiffer and others in the White House are still covering for the President. Pfeiffer recently dusted off a familiar Democrat talking point blaming President Bush for the current state of the economy – almost six years after Bush left office. Only the dummest of Americans believe that. It is dangerous for the US to have a President who takes no responsibility but more dangerous for the Aerican people to still love this guy after all he has done to hem.. And, so, because many of us in small town America know the truth, we have no choice but to tell it. In this spirit, I dusted off an old email that still shows that ther is a cause and effect relationship with our poor record and the man sitting in the Oval office today-- not six years ago.

Some opinion from the mailbag:

This one is from my financial adviser.  Now this is really scary.  Eleanor

We all know how Senator Robert P. Casey is in lockstep with President Obama, so technically this could have been written about Casey. When you read Chuck Green’s piece below, simply substitute Casey for Obama and it should work.
Enjoy.

Excellent read..........  Here's an opinion piece by Chuck Green who writes "Greener Pastures" for the Denver Post Aurora Sentinel...one of the more liberal papers in the country. Additionally, Mr. Green is a life long Democrat...[as am I] so this is rather a stunning piece...

Obama is victim of Bush's failed promises

Sell State Liquor Stores by Public Lottery.

It looks like this time our state stores will be privatized.

Why should John Q. Public not gain from the expected privatization of PA’s liquor store system?  Many people in the Commonwealth would like to have competition in the liquor business, and now that it seems likely, there is speculation that some big fat PA cats will take over the whole enterprise, make out like bandits, and then Pennsylvanians will be left holding the proverbial bag.

How would it benefit the people, for example if some well known local billionaire or politico starts a chain of Liquor Stores? The last thing that Pennsylvanians want is to go from a state run monopoly to a monopoly with those on the “in” making out like bandits, and life being worse for the rest of us than when the government ran things. Those of us who live in Northeastern PA know full well that for substantially less reward once trusted public servants will take a chance at a private payoff.

A New Idea for Term Limits!

A New Idea for Term Limits!

Americans feel they are experiencing poor government now and will be through 2012 because of the political leftovers that continue to make poor decisions for all of US.  Normal people can fully sympathize with the notion that a certain percentage of the members of Congress, no matter whether corrupted in their first term or their thirteenth term, become corrupt nonetheless.

Career politicians are therefore a big problem for America. We need a better way of dealing with the corruption of otherwise good people who get corrupt by spending too many years in office.  The popular idea of term limits certainly addresses the problem of lecherous career politicians.

Built-in flexible term limits is the solution.

Unplanned Parenthood

If abortion doesn't matter when the US engages in the shutdown debates as we saw in April, and which happen far too often with our dysfunctional Congress, then Planned Parenthood (PP) , the biggest abortion mill in the US should get only as much funding as Unplanned Parenthood (UP). Last time I checked Unplanned Parenthood got zero funding from the government, because it does not formally exist as a "charitable organization."

Unplanned Parenthood is merely the notion of a bunch of unorganized US Citizens who may at any time decide that they will either start or continue growing the size of their families.
